Your Roof Takes a Beating in Southern Maryland
Southern Maryland weather is rough on roofs. Summer brings intense heat and sudden thunderstorms with high winds. Spring and fall bring heavy rain. Winter brings ice and the occasional heavy snow. Over 20 to 30 years, that cycle of heat, moisture, freezing, and wind wears down even the best shingles.
Most homes in Waldorf and Charles County were built with architectural asphalt shingles rated for 25 to 30 years. If your roof is approaching that age — or if you are seeing curled shingles, granule loss, or stains on your ceiling — it may be time to think about replacement rather than another repair.
Three Roof Types We Install
Architectural Shingles
The most popular choice in Charles County. Thicker and more durable than old three-tab shingles, architectural shingles handle wind better and look better. Most carry 25 to 30 year manufacturer warranties.
Metal Roofing
Standing seam metal roofs last 40 to 70 years, shed snow and rain fast, and handle high winds extremely well. Higher upfront cost, but you may never replace your roof again.
Flat and Low-Slope (TPO/EPDM)
For additions, porches, and commercial buildings with low-slope sections. Modern single-ply membranes are far more reliable than old tar-and-gravel.
What Our Free Inspection Covers
We climb up, walk the roof, and check shingles, flashing, valleys, vents, and gutters. We look in the attic for signs of leaks and poor ventilation. Then we sit down with you, show you photos of what we found, and give you a straight written quote. No pressure, no obligation.
Storm Damage? We Can Help With Insurance
If a storm damaged your roof, your homeowner's insurance may cover replacement. We document the damage, help you understand the claims process, and meet the adjuster on-site if needed. See our insurance claim help page for details.
